GPYO Dazzles Under Director Raucci -" a display of music-making that can be described without exaggeration as startling, almost unbelievable."

Under Raucci's leadership, the orchestra played the pieces with a wonderful transparency, heightened by the War Memorial's fine acoustics. Raucci is a remarkable conductor in that he holds his gestures to the musicians to a minimum, a very few hand signals. But the players seemed to grasp what he wanted without difficulty, and the result was delightful music-making throughout the afternoon.

This listener especially enjoyed the performance of "The Moldau," by the too often neglected Smetana. ) Also pleasing were the lively, spirited performances of the Dvorak Slavonic Dances, especially that of the most familiar of the four, No. 8 in G Minor.

We had a chance to admire the techniques of these gifted young people, the confidence with which they followed Raucci's directions, and, most importantly, the splendid music that resulted from their efforts.
Donald Delany-The Times

"Fernando Raucci a young Italian conductor from Italy produced a finely conceived skilled performance of Brahms Symphony # 4 to a large and appreciative audience." Linda Tyler-Princeton

"Raucci is a young, but certifiable artistic talent in the top rank of conductors." Giovanni Avicolli-Il Tempo

"I must give voice to my astonishment for having found in the musical performance traces of emotion which I thought to be obsolete." Tadeus Szyllejko- Gazeta Warmii Mazur
